'With All Due Credit: Cooley High'

Our September theme of the month, Back to School, wraps up with our film of the month, Cooley High (1975).

These opening credits from Cooley High effectively establish the time, place, and atmosphere of the film to come. Even though these stills prominently display landmarks not yet around during the film’s 1964 setting (such as the Standard Oil Building, Marina City, and the Sears Tower), the song “Baby Love” by The Supremes anchors it firmly in 1964.

You can take home Cooley High on DVD and Blu-ray.
